Which Hospital To Choose.
I have 2 hospitals in my state. One that is more traditional medical care and the other is Yale and its more clinical trials and researchers
Yale. If your coverage allows, BU or MSK are even better options. I am originally from southern CT.
When choosing a hospital, especially for chronic conditions like amyloidosis, consider the following:
1. Network Status: Ensure the hospital is in-network with your insurance to avoid high out-of-pocket costs
2. Specialization: Yale, with its focus on clinical trials and research, might offer advanced treatment options Show Full Answer
Oh wow thank u so much.
Boston University Amyloid Center is one of the two original Centers of Excellence for the diagnosis and treatment of Amyloidosis. www.bu.edu/amyloid They do a through two and a half day evaluation and you receive the preliminary results before you leave and on Friday of that same week you receive a call with the full results and treatment options. Then you receive your treatments from a local doctor with the oversight of the experts. This gives you the convenience of local treatment but the peace of mind knowing that the experts are only a phone call or email away. I live in Georgia and I am a patient at Boston U. VERY worth the time and effort to be seen by the best!
I go to Vanderbilt in Nashville, TN which is closest to where I live.!
