Mary, yes, I have experienced the nails going brittle during chemo which ended 5 months ago. Went to a dermatologist who recommended daily Slow Fe iron supplement. It is over the counter. Has helped to a degree.

I have been off chemo now for almost 4 months. Still have problem with splintering finger nails. Work on them almost daily. Trying to avoid using them--it is tough.
