My spouse's hematologist stated that the production of bad amyloid protiens can be stopped in many cases and, sometimes the 'bad amyloid protiens' already in the body can leave the body on their own without explaination, but usually they stay put and continue to cause havoc. She also mentioned that there is a drug on the horizon that is being tested in its effectiveness to remove these bad amyloid protiens. There are presently drug tirals underway. Hopefully this drug will be successful in this task and made available soon.
