Thanks Dan I weigh my self in AM as well After a hospitalization for A-Fib and CHF in 2021 I was diagnosed with WT Amy. While in hospital I was given multiple doses of Lasix and I lost 30 lbs. Went from 230 to 200 which is my new base weight. I'm trying very hard to stay at base weight that's why I asked about fluid intake. I drink water with lemon during day.

Good morning. I have AL Amyloidosis but have similar concerns about hydration I general. My doctors advised me have a scale next to my bed. After taking care of morning business you weigh yourself to monitor edema fluctuations. I once had a daily target of 220 but now have lowered to 215. Warning; treatment days/weeks can cause big weight swings, but once absorbed my weight comes down to my target of 215. Hope this helps?

It is much more important to limit sodium intake daily. 48 ounces of water is sufficient if you are not experiencing signs of dehydration. Recently most doctors have dispelled the myth of the minimum requirement of 64 ounces of fluids per day. If you don't have swelling in your ankles, legs, or abdomen, you are probably doing okay.
