I don't do stairs much anymore. A few weeks ago the sirens went off die to a tornado sighting. I can only go down the stairs very slowly. And when I came up I had to sit on each step and push up to the next step. It took a while but I made it!

Went to the grocery store today and did some walking around the store for a little bit, not the same as a full walk but it was something.

See at treatment if they have a physical therapist for you to speak with. If not see if your doctor can suggest someone. If you look up amyloidosis & leg exercises online you will also be able to find them. Walking though is really your best bet to start

Hello Andre. I love your question. About six months after diagnosis, I was in pretty bad shape. I used to crawl up the steps. I would cry. Finally after talking with my son-in-law, we both agreed on a stair lift. Best choice I made. When I’m feeling good I forego the left. I hope you know that a lot of us are experiencing the same thing you are.
