Carpal Tunnel Is A Very Common Contributing Symptom Of Amyloidosis. I Had Surgery Which Was Successful For 1.5 Year And Now 7 Years Later
It is back worse than ever. What is the mechanism of Amyloidosis that causes carpal tunnel why does surgery help temporarily and why are second surgeries usually not successful? My CT impacts the quality of life certainly more than the heart issues at this stage of my disease. thanks, Steve
I had CT surgery 10 yrs ago before knowledge of amy. I'm 78 and plan to have it again. Also, have polyneuropathy which effects bodily movement.
Stephen.I have numb thumb and fingers on my right hand which I think is more peripheral neuopathy caused by Amyloidosis than carpel tunnel. I am checking out carpel tunnel again though after surgery 10 years ago as I am told it could come back..Sorry to hear of your problem..Jeffrey
I’m guessing you’re in some kind of remission after 7 years so that’s great. I’m not a doctor but I play one on tv lol 😂 I would think some of it may be the meds or just the natural aging process. 🤷🏻♀️ Sorry that you’re suffering with this so much. I wonder if maybe physical therapy or sometimes heat makes my hands feel better when the neuropathy is acting up. Maybe try some kind of hand soak.
