Does Anyone Know Of A Specialist In Broward County, Fl I Just Lost My Dr. I Have Cardiac W Attr With Afib. Would Appreciate Any Help.
I am in an area of Fla where there is not a lot of options for the research of amyloid. I tried to go to Mayo Clinic and they don’t take my insurance. Just reading on this site I see there is a lot being offered. I need to get the rest of my organs checked and probably more gene tests including more than what has currently been checked. I have a lot of health problems including my spine deteriorating and issues with my brain. Tons of pain and fight hard to be as normal as possible. I won’t take pain meds and have learned to deal with pain and not let it stop me. I have a positive attitude. I got hit by a truck when I was 16 and was blessed to be alive.
Hi Myrna. I go to USF Cardiology. They are located in Tampa Florida. When I was diagnosed they didn’t know hardly anything about Amyloidosis. I have been reading some positive changes in the research and new treatments. I have decided to go back to them and see if they are advancing. I stopped going in 2021 after being told there wasn’t anything available for treatment then. I will update after my visit coming up this month.
Is broward north or south? Mayo Clinic is north. I think Cleveland clinic is south. Either one might be able to point you in the right direction.
wishing the best to you
In 2021 they said that? That’s ridiculous! There are so many treatments out there. 😡
