Does This Disease Have Stages Like Cancer? And Why Chemo If This Is Not A Cancer But Just A Disease?

Amyloidosis isn't a cancer but can be and will be deadly if not caught early enough.
The chemo treatments are given to prolong life and not to cure the disease as there is no cure. Depending on a persons age and how effective the chemo is the chemo might give a person approximately the same life span.
I am 79 years old and have reached full remission of Primary Amyloidosis so every day is a blessing!
