My Husband Just Got Diagnosed With Hattr-cm Amyloidosis And I Would Like Some Advice On The Best Possible Diet
Thk you so much
I use a nutritionist that knows about amyloidosis. You can find one.
😀 best advice i heard Do not eat anything which tasted good in prior life Thk you
Diet is a complex situation if you ask a Cardiologist. The only time you will get one is if you go to a Nutritionist and I am not certain that is necessary. Basically the diet is "do not eat the things that have tasted good" in your prior life.
You need to resist all the ice creams and pastries that you have always enjoyed. Remember that all calories count and you have to restrict them to lose weight. Salt is a big problem and needs to be limited. The best name you can give it one is the Mediteranean diet and use a computer to fine tune the diet you come up with. Do research on the computer and if you lose weight you definately will feel better. I recommend it. Good luck. Remember it has to be something you can live with. That's the whole point. Once you get used to one that works for you, you can take some liberties with. Just my opinion.
I would ask his doctor. And look on the net for diet for hattr. That's what I did for my will type attr. Lots of info on the net,
