Does Anyone Here Have Primary Cutaneous Amyloidosis?

A MyAmyloidosisTeam Member asked a question 💭
Bristol, CT

I am looking for a doctor who can effectively treat cutaneous amyloidosis ulcers. I didn't see anyone on this site with this diagnosis. Getting reoccurring ulcers on the amyloid deposits.

I see you are in Connecticut. The Boston University Amyloid Clinic has Dr. John Berk, who specializes in localized amyloidosis. I suggest that you go see them for an evaluation. www.bu.edu/amyloid

Wild type amyloidosis can be confirmed with a PYP technetium 99 scan. This isotope is absorbed by the amyloidosis tissue.
