As wild-type ATTR amyloidosis (ATTRwt) progresses, breathing can become increasingly difficult due to amyloid deposits in the heart. These deposits can lead to cardiac issues like heart failure, where the heart struggles to pump blood effectively. This can cause fluid buildup in the lungs, resulting in shortness of breath, even during rest or mild activity. It's important to monitor symptoms and consult a doctor for management.
