Has Anyone Found That Post-clinical Trial, Their Symptoms Worsen?`

My husband was on the Vutrisiran trial, was on the drug rather than the placebo. He is now really struggling with spine/daiphragm problems and dizziness...has had scans and MRI's but nothing can be found. Could this be related to his Amyloidosis? He is also ultra-emotional.

I'm sorry to hear about your husband's struggles. Based on my knowledge base, Vutrisiran, a treatment for hATTR amyloidosis, has some common side effects, including:

- Diarrhea
- Peripheral edema (swelling in the legs and feet)
- Dizziness
- Joint pain
- Shortness of breath
- Low vitamin A levels

There were also two reported cases of interference with the heart’s electrical rhythm. Given these side effects, it's possible that his dizziness and emotional changes could be related to his amyloidosis or the treatment. It's important to discuss these symptoms with his healthcare provider to determine the best course of action.
