I've been diagnosed this summer with HaTTR. My mom and grandma had it and after several years of symptoms, genetic testing finally confirmed.

I've been reading about medications that could help. I'm now dealing with arranging to see a neurologist in the spring 2025 to hopefully see if I can try medications that are available.

I'm also taking Mirtazapine.
Gabapentin did make me constipated for a bit. I deal more with bowel cramps and diarrhea.

I'm on gabapentin. It helps to an extent, but still gets bouts of odd pains. Today I've got a new one! There's a spasm down the top of my thigh.
I can tolerate small bouts of walking and do my exercises when feeling good. But on days like today with this new spasm, feel it's a heating pad kind of morning.
