I have the same mutation. My Grandfather is from Burtonport in Donegal.

I was diagnosed early. I do body weight exercises and lift weights at the gym. Nothing too crazy, just trying to build strength and make sure I get plenty of protein each day. No creatine or exercise supplements.

Hi Francis, I also have hATTR Amyloidosis type T60a also called “Donegal Amy”. This type is very common to a small coastal area of Donegal from Rosses, Gweedore and Cloughaneely areas which has also travelled with the descendants and diaspora to UK, USA, Australia. My personal belief, and some medical reports from international Amy experts who visited our areas reckon it also may be connected to the shipwrecked sailors of the Spanish Armada back in 1588. Any supplements you take you should always run them past your dr. Supplements can sometimes interfere with treatment.
