I’m not skinny, but lost a lot of weight after my LVAD surgery(1/26/2024). Im still very debilitated and have been doing rehab for 3 months. Time to take the bull by the horns and spend more time waking and working out. My heart team says I’m too frail and a transplant may not be my solution due to my amyloidosis. To even be considered I’d have to improve my functional capacity. I do want to start resistance exercise on my own. I really didn’t like the rehab environment on the third iteration(day rehab), been in inpatient and outpatient and was about to start day rehab. I’ve been on a walker and wanted to try using a cane, PT(on first visit said no) I went out and bought my own cane and have been using 99% of the time. I cancelled all my future
PT appointments and decided to DIY.
