My Eyes Have Gotten So Much Worse To The Extent That They Are Worse Than Any Other Of The Symptoms.

Worse is the double and triple vision. I also get blurry eyes, and runny eyes. I frequently have to squint to see anything. Anyone had similar experiences? Any suggestions for help? Thanks, Bev H.

If your taking Amvutra or ompatro, you should be taking Vitamin A supplements because they deplete your vitamin A levels and it affects your vision. All the to you!

I’m afflicted with similar eye troubles. It’s a mishmash of symptoms and wonky vision, progressing aggressively. My eyes can feel achy and hot. (I posted a selfie of my Lt eye on the resources page, showing the periorbital redness.)
When I first saw an ophthalmologist for laser cataract surgery, I noted the symptoms which are not characteristic of cataracts. I mentioned the systemic amyloidosis, which is likely affecting the eyes. He was unfamiliar with amyloidosis and advised me to check that out myself before proceeding with a booking. Of course, I was sad that this prestigious Eye Institute could not help. But from Doctor Google, I learned that someone with a serious medical condition is not a candidate for cataract surgery. That’s me, for sure – but I’d rather not close the options.
For now, I’ve decided to enter the long line-up for laser surgery, expecting to cancel closer to the time. Meanwhile what works best is a restful life, keeping my eyes closed a lot, and protecting them from bright light. …. Oh… and be grateful for those specialists out there somewhere who have offered their teaching and guidance through the internet.

I wish you well, Beverly. You are in my prayers today. Keep trucking as the old saying goes.

I just read an article sent from "My Amyloidosis Team" about how it can affect your vision.
Last week I saw my opthamologist and he recommended that I have Cataract surgery. My neurologist said there is no reason why I shouldn't. But, I will be have several questions for the opthamologist doing the surgery.
