Does Anyone Experience Sporadic Shots Of Pain In Different Spots And Heat Flashes?

Joined this site to find support for my Dad who was diagnosed with Wild Type Amyloidosis about 3 years ago. He is 84 and has various health problems. He is now experiencing the above (sporadic shots of pain in various parts of his body at rest and sudden hot flashes -he feels so hot he says-but we don't see/feel any sweat). We are trying to figure out if some of these are related to this disease or if it's something else. He does have dementia - whether it's related to this condition or not… read more

My sporadic pain is in different parts of my feet. My hot flashes don't last over 5 minutes and have no sweat about half the time. I am also 84 and wild type, just diagnosed late in 2023. Been having pain and hot flashes for years! Nona

Hi Robin2, my partner just started chemo (DaraCyBorD) last week for AL Amyloidosis and is experiencing what he calls stabbing pains in his head and torso.. he says they are random quick flashes with no lingering pain.
