I Have Cardiac Attr An I Am On Vydamax. Lost Lots Of Muscle Mass Used To Be College Football Player. Is This A Symptom Any Advice?
Thank you Gents.. appreciate the info on diets! Hopefully will get some back.. I love liver!!
Jim: Although not a college football player, I was a long distance cyclist closing out 102,000 miles on my primary bike when I was hit with amyloidosis. Looking back, I tracked my VO2Max decline down to its current low of 17.3. And it has been sitting there since I was first diagnosed with amyloidosis. Of course along with decline in VO2Max, I too have lost muscle mass and am bugged by lack of stamina. But I contend that with what exercise I can do, I can gradually rebuild my muscles and hopefully rebuild my endurance.
My wife is an expert dietician and has me on a high protein diet. I think it is helping.
Yes I experienced the same muscle mass loss and lost weight. I lost a lot of strength as a result. My legs were affected the most. I started to lose weight and muscle before I was diagnosed. Some of it was aging and probably the wild type amyloidosis. I did not see an increase when I took Vyndamax. I eat about a dozen eggs a week, liver a couple times a month, fish, and meats with the fat that is good for you. I limit sugar and carbs. and foods that have a lot of lectins. I also take supplements to make up for any depletion that is happening. Good luck! Best JP
I am also on Vyndamax lost weight and muscle mass. I hear protein is what I need to consume - how much??
Even though I am already thin, I feel like I am losing muscle. Am meaning to ask my Amyloidosis doctor.
