We are working on a guide right now. It's complicated because what's good for the heart might be bad for the kidneys or liver so it depends on what organs are involved. I'm initially basically cutting out everything that I've always known is bad like salt, sugar, alcohol, etc. The tricky things are trying to maintain a correct balance with potassium and so forth, and not conflict with the meds (no grapefruit). I have an appointment with a nutritionist/dietician in a couple of weeks and I'll post after that.

It's really best to discuss with your doctor or a nutritionist who has access to your medical needs. Patients with low blood pressure are sometimes told to increase their salt intake, while patients with cardiac problems are told to limit to usually less than 2,000 milligrams per day. Some must restrict their fluid intake while others have no limitations. If you have kidney involvement, you may be told to eat less protein daily so as to not stress your kidneys further. Others need to eat more protein to try and avoid muscle loss. You need to find out what YOUR body needs nutrition wise. What others are doing may actually do you harm! Please talk to your doctor!

Low salt. Found low salt chicken broth by pacific, low salt in a fish by American. Corn tortillas rather than flour. Added lots of limes lemons and peppers and spices to make them tasty. If nauseated, would have some toast
Also found good zero alcohol beer by athletic. Once heart improved was able to be more lenient with salt but still moderate as everyone should be. Lots of fruit and vegetables. Soft cheeses that had less salt than hard ones.
