Shortness Of Breath And Rapid Heartbeat At Bedtime
My husband is experiencing SOB and rapid heartbeat when he lies down. Not every night but often enough. He can't sleep when it happens. And it goes away as soon as he sits up. He's worn a heart monitor. The doctors are unconcerned but it is impacting his life in a very negative way. Does anyone have this and if so, what do you do about it? He cannot sleep sitting up. Please do not send hugs or reply if you do not actually have any information.
I wish I had good advice for you, but if it were us I'd be persistent with the doctor. I don't think ours would remain unconcerned if it were impacting my husband's life like it is yours. Be persistent - you have to be your own advocate in the medical world. Good luck.
No pulmonologist. But he's seen every other doctor possible
Did he ever see a pulmonologist?
Thank you for that info. We are about ready to try anything!
Mary ,
I had that same problem until they did a sleep study on me . Now Iām on a BiPAP machine, it regulates my breathing . Does he have a CPAP or BiPAP machine? If he does he might need to suggest it with PCP doctor. Pray he get some relief, take care God Bless you and your family .
