May I Ask, What Are The Treatments For The Localized Amyloidosis?
I can only answer for me. Mine is in my throat and nasal area. I was told the treatment is surgery to remove the tumors they can safely reach and then radiation for those they can not. Last move is chemo, which I didn’t need… thank you Lord! My numbers are starting to creep back up, so my screenings have been moved from annual to every 6 months. I was also told 90% of the time localized comes back in the same spot. Thank goodness because I do not want these little monsters traveling. I feel very fortunate because of the location of the surgery. It was preformed through my mouth and nose, no surgical incision per say. My tumors wrapped around my coratic(ms) artery, so that is when they stopped. Don’t get me wrong, painful as hell, but no incision (I will take my victories where I can) wishing you the best
