That can depend on your organ involvement - if you are retaining fluid, or if you have low blood pressure, kidney and heart function, etc. It's always best to consult with a nutritionist who can help devise a diet plan for your specific situation. Many people are told to limit their daily sodium intake, but if you have low blood pressure, your doctor may actually want you to have more sodium to help raise your blood pressure. Please check with your doctor.

Agree with Paula. Some medications like venclexta have some fluid needs so the physicians can help coordinate with nutritionist.

I have been told to limit salt to 2000 mg a day and limit water intake
