I have a myChart for UTHealth here in San Antonio. Have had a previous neurological event and have asked neurosurgeon for help finding someone there at UTH SA, but so far not much luck. Go to oncologist in a week or so and will see what he suggests. My amyloidosis Cardiologist is with a whole other system and I would like them to talk to each other!! Thank you all for listening. Hi Sara I am Blessed to live in Houston TX I’m a native Houstonian .. you need a my chart to start .. I have mutable myeloma .. yes people come from all over the world for cancer treatment ..
I have also that rare blood disease Amyloids Light chain. I can ask my oncologist how to start with someone without cancer.
She specializes in amyloids .. mine has moved to my heart muscle 29% but hasn’t gone up in % for two years .. Praise the Lord .. it’s also in my Colin … and a small amount in my upper stomach …
Clinical trial is the treatment Dr Becnel went with. We are also waiting to get a new med that will remove the amyloids …
Right now we are able to keep the spread of amyloids ..
I will send a my chart to my Dr yes and I have a team of doctors .. I am waiting for a stem cell transplant .. I’ve collected 8 million of my own good cells a year ago. My cardiologist sent me to the Methodist cardio’s team that is expert in amyloids Dr DeBakeys team .. I went through Heart MRI,heart catheter and labs .. he was very pleased with how strong my heart was even with the amyloids . He has cleared me for stem cell transplant .. I will see my Stem cell Dr May 29th and probably they will move forward my cancer is in remission ..
