I have been having my lungs drained now for about a year. Left lung drained at hospital every 2 to 3 weeks. Right lung drained at home by wife once or twice a week. We are using system called PleurX. Using a chart in a spreadsheet and a corresponding graph, I am tracking progress. Volumes drained are gradually decreasing. Have developed some good friends with hospital staff.

I was diagnosed with AL amyloidosis Jan. 2023, completed chemotherapy July 2023 and am now on monthly treatments.
