Have Any Of You Used The Treatment Kyphoplasty To Solve Lower Back Lumbar Pains?
My AL amyloidosis apparently deteriorated my L1-L5 vertebrae. I encountered significant lower back pains nine months after my chemotherapy treatments started. Treatment by Kyphoplasty is an option I have heard about. In layman terms, Kyphoplasty is an injection of bone cement to stabilize the vertebrae.
I just read about this procedure, interesting. Let us know if you have it done and the results. Praying your pain can be alleviated!
Best to you Vern. I hope you can get the procedure done sooner than later.
Today during my theracentis (lung drain) I discussed Kyphoplasty with Lulu. She is one of the best nurses here in Carrolton--been working on me for about a year. She worked as a intervenest radiologist for about 5 years at another location where she participated in many Kyphoplasty procedures. Lulu said that she could not recall any problems resulting from the procedure. She also said that patients are put to sleep during the procedure and when they awaken they feel great. No more pain. Sounds too good to be true, but I believe her. I will be seeking Kyphoplasty at early opportunity!!!
Hi Vern, really sounds good. I hope you get positive results. My husband and I both suffer from low back pain. But this is the first I've heard of Kyphoplasty. I'll be searching around for research papers. Thank you.
Will do. Thank you Mary.
